Emerging from Perth, the female quartet MIMIC has proven they are not just another “fly by night band”.  MIMIC has conquered much territory in the past few years and shows no signs of slowing down. Morphing aggression and energy with a melodic marketable edge, they create catchy original songs that have earned MIMIC an extensive and loyal fan base. Mimic’s heavy grooves and hauntingly melodic vocals touch the darkest parts of your soul and leave you fending for more

MIMIC hit the scene running in 1999. Their versatile appeal has put them on the bill with bands ranging from 28 Days, Motor Ace, regurgitator, Split Enz, Skyhooks, The Edwards’s, Hungry Jacks, Pull My Finger, Tom Jones and Disaster.

MIMIC has appeared at Melbourne Metal Meltdown 2001, The Adelaide Metal Fest 2001, and Sydney Grindfest 2000, only to name a few. Since 2000 they have performed at almost 100 clubs and venues.

MIMIC is featured in various forms of media ranging from entertainment magazines such as Rip It Up to on-line magazines such as W4AO and is being played and interviewed on radio, college radio and Internet stations all over Australia, New Guinea, Fiji and NZ.

MIMIC released a self-titled 3-song demo in 2000. In the same year MIMIC unleashed a new monster, a seven song CD entitled, “Who Me?”. They are currently working on the release of a second batch of equally intense songs, due out later this year

With a successful future in check, MIMIC is destined to stay on top.
